The hunt for the new It-Shoe..... Alberto Guardiani and i-D Magazine have launched the Cinderthriller contest which is dedicated to the search for the next big shoe designer. The perfect shoe must be able to take over from the successful Lipstick Heel (see above pic), the stiletto with a lipstick-shaped heel which bewitched fashionistas turning quickly into a cult object.
This competition is open to all designers and lovers of female shoes. The prize is £5000 the chance for your shoe to be produced and sold in Colette in Paris, Corso Como in Milano and Alberto Guardiani stores worldwide. i-D will select the ten most innovative entires to present to a prestigious panel.
November, 11th - the deadline to submit the sketches, that will be examined and selected by a jury chaired by the Editor in chief of i-D Magazine, Terry Jones and the daughter of the founder of the footwear brand, Rubina Guardiani. The name of the winner will be announced in February and his/her creation will become part of Alberto Guardiani’s F/W 2012/13 collection.
