Womenswear Editors’ Picks

Emphasis is driven by the Artist’s Clay mid-tone palette, which addresses a continuation of retro modern hues. There is also significant interest in the New Uniform neutral palette, driven by industry sensation Demna Gvasalia at Vetements and Balenciaga. Gvasalia’s focus on classic wardrobe staples brings new light to ordinary hues. The Cosmetic pastel palette becomes much more concise with hues that appear almost-antique as Dusty Mauve. The Treasure jewel tones palette emphasize greens with Dark Teal. Finally, the Amuse palette features a winter assortment of brights.

Rosewood - Artist’s Clay Midtone Palette

Evolving from the lighter shade of rose from SS 17, Rosewood deepens for the fall with a brown cast.

Pea - New Uniform Neutrals Palette

A yellow casted Pea, the strongest military shade of the season, evolves from the deeper army from the SS 17 season.

Dusty Mauve - Cosmetics Pastel Palette

Dusty Mauve is slightly more brown cast compared to lavender grey from last season.

Dusty Cedar - Treasure Jewel Tones Palette

Dusty Cedar takes the reigns after several season of burgundy and maroon.

Dark Teal - Treasure Jewel Tones Palette

Dark Teal evolves from bluer hues like forest and ivy into a more green-cast color.
