Trend forecasters, MARTINE LEHERPEUR CONSEIL decoded the Autumn/Winter 2015-16 trends, which were then showcased in January 2015. Here’s a sneak peek at the key looks for this winter!
Winter 2016 takes a drag from the uninspired and disruptive air of the 1990s / Takes inspiration from the … atmosphere of the 1990s. The rebel attitude presents a real challenge for femininity, exploring its limits and testing its endurance. The looks are a blend of fun and serious, relaxed sportswear and strict bourgeoisie, harsh lines with soft. A mixed up style that reexamines the traditional areas of seduction, exposing more at the back than the front. Winter 2016, watch your back!
ICE BLUE : NEO-CATHOLICISM
The convent meets techno sport… the blues are lighter, duller or frozen. Virgin blue, icy softness, calm, the aftermath of spring. A chic look, the classic bourgeois style is twisted to give it a retro sporty feel. Worn with black, navy, white and bright colors, it will take on a divine character.

Winter seductive zones: the back is free and fearless of the first shivers of winter.
Mesh and stitching swops to the other side and filets open at the back to spark new interest.
Sleepwear is the look waking up the city… match with a blazer vest and sneakers to echo the “just out of bed” look of the 90s reminiscent of Seattle neo-grunge. The 90s legging is back in a cocoon style and offers a more fitted alternative to sweatpants / tracksuits. Wear with knits and shirts for a “hunter pajama” look.
THE GOLDEN TOUCH: THE DETAIL WITH AN IMPACT
A graphic golden touch boldly shapes and revamps accessories. Large gold plates, striking heels, XL buckles in bulk, shining handles and stand-out letters. Gold changes the neoclassic bourgeoise style by breaking strict visual rules.
BE COOL: SPORTY PUNK
A twist on the 90s spirit, accessories rebel in a “cool“ way. Street and American music influence punk and grunge 2.0.
Platforms, neo-ranger boots, Doc Martens, knee high boots, gothic-punk jewelry, customized backpacks, caps and hats… All show a desire for eternal adoles- fence.

Kawaïi influenced by the mexican culture of lucha-libre creating a humorous take on manga as well as discouraging street-culture. A Nippon/Maya look featuring gaudy colours. While full facial masks, bright shining accessories, circus influences and flag references inspire flashy designs that flirt with kitsch. Freaky fluff, eccentric charms and shaggy fur in flashy, crazy colors, both childish and fun to beat the cold.
A mechanical dynamic. Panicked lines shock and enchant, echoing graphic vibes. Charming, combining, bending, bouncing, hallucinating and taking on an entirely Beetle Juice’s style.
TAPESTRY: URBAN CAMOUFLAGE
Using the Aubusson tapestries as a method of expression rather than decoration (floral and hunting themes). With a narrative anchor, the products express more depth and feeling. The urban look is redesigned, incorporating authenticity and history, by using tailoring commonly associated with denim. Sportswear gains a sense of emotional awareness. Maison Baluchon & Monsieur D have made it their focus.
90’S DARK SPORTSWEAR : BLING & BRONX
90s black Swag style. a look somewhere between RnB & Rap: the princess of the Bronx meets tribal culture. An African touch uses Amish and 90s Hip Hop styles to create a nomad urban culture, incorporating a different take on the messages of Pop culture. Black bling for a darker hipster look.
